• Diplôme artisan métier d'art ! - Art craft artisan diploma !

The Chamber of Trades and Crafts of the Seine-Maritime proposed me several months ago to do a candidature

for listing in the Guide of Artisans of Art and obtain the title of artisan art craft.

Time passes ... Then one day someone tells me that my professional profile is visible in the new guide.

By verifying the information I had the very pleasant surprise to discover also the logo "artisan of art" !

Embroidery is in the official list of art crafts established by the National Institute of Art Crafts.

A few weeks later I had the great pleasure to receive the diploma at a ceremony.

Thank you very much to the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of the Seine-Maritime !

    Artisan:

(XVI century) Borrowed at the time of the Renaissance, to the Italian artigiano, itself derived from the Latin ars,

artis ("art"), and the ending - anus. Originally, the "artisan" is the one who puts his art in service to others.

This word has the same origin as artist, he has meant to the end of the seventeenth century.

Thereafter artist was applied to those who used their art for fun, then craftsman has been linked to the

commercial spirit. Today, we speak of "mason craftsman" of "carpenter", etc., but of "painter"

of "musical artist", etc., without mixture of both.
